Hi, with the last patch by Alexey Gaidukov, the driver returned strings where the utf8 flag is set. Will the final "official" driver use that method too? Or will it return utf8 octet strings? (UTF8-flag is not set)
The last version of the patch (DBD-MaxDB.7.patch for DBD::MaxDB 7.5.0.32) had the "bug", that column-names are still returned as octet strings, while the content of tables are returned as strings with utf8-flag set. Which version of DBD::MaxDB will support unicode? Will it be the next 7.6.x.x version? or will we have to wait for 7.7.x.x? And how far is the development of a unicode-supporting driver?
