Randy, Due to different endian types and the backups beeing just being sets of binary pages, the backups are not compatible between Windows (little Endian) and Unix (HP-UX, SUN-Solaris, IBM-AIX are big endian). You would have to use the loader tool, because it offers various formats and takes care of the source and target architecture.
