Hello Daniel, could you look up the knldiag file, and post the error found there to the list? The -24994 error simply means the database server ('kernel') terminated itself after start after detecting some eror (which is detailed in the knldiag file).

Now when trying to set the DB online or to admin state it says: 1497-1 SAG_VIP # dbmcli -d SAG_VIP -u dbm,dbm db_online ERR -24994,ERR_RTE: runtime environment error 1,Check knldiag! Kernel died before reaching ADMIN state The knldiag.err doesn't give any hint what the problem could be. We are using this version of maxdb: 1497-1 init.d # cat /opt/sdb/7500/etc/VERSIONS [kernel] version=7.5.00.30 purpose=OLTP date=2005-06-11 [precompiler] version=7.5.00.30 [x_server] version=7.5.00.30 Are there any special steps to be taken, in order to get the DB back online? Any help is greatly appreciated!
