Hello John,
Please check first the MaxDB version you are using. The scheduler
commands work only for version 7.6.00.02 and newer. In older versions
this function is not available yet.
In case a missing server authorization results in an error, you get an
error message specifying that the server authorization is missing.
Nevertheless, you can check a user's server authorization using the DBM
command user_getrights
(http://dev.mysql.com/doc/maxdb/en/29/4e6930474e11d4aa1100a0c9430730/fra
meset.htm).

To easily find your way to the relevant documentation I recommend that
you use the documentation at http://dev.mysql.com/doc/maxdb/index.html
-> Read the documentation online.
In the "Glossary"
(http://dev.mysql.com/doc/maxdb/en/29/4e6930474e11d4aa1100a0c9430730/fra
meset.htm) just look up the description for "server authorization" (or
whatever your issue might be) and you will easily find the relevant
documentation links.
Best regards
Marina
