Is you name resolution work in both directions? Means, can the server
reverse lookup the name of the IP address that is connecting? 

Check on your local system (with Access):

# nslookup <ip address of server>

This should give you the servers name.

Try the same thing on the server for the IP-Addresse of your machine.
