hi ml, currently we are trying to port an application from sybase to maxdb. the server is running debian sarge with maxdb 7.5.0.24
the mashine ran over several monthes, we made some test's, delete all data and reimported the sybase data. yesterday the reimport, was NOT possible, ms access (it is used to move the database from sybase to maxdb) crashed all the time, after importing a table. after looking for the error, we found maxdb dont give all information back, so i stopped the xserver the server, but there was two kernel process, which wont die, not with kill -15, nor kill -9. so i decided to restart the mashine, but afterwards the database manager brought connections-problems when getting some information. so i reinialized the complete instance (from dbm). afterwards i was able to create my usergroup import my data update all trigger and all looked fine. before running the next test's i wanted to make a backup with loader-cli, cause i wanted to move the beginning data from one usergroup, to an other. but the loadercli stopped always at the TABLEEXTRACT USER DATA OUTSTREAM FILE '/tmp/sapdb/assist.bin' 2006-08-03 14:24:27 3506 ERR -11987 COMMUNIC kernel released connection! 2006-08-03 14:41:25 3609 ERR -11608 COMMUNIC sql03_request: wrong connection state, state is 'requested' so i though ok, some bad happened with the database, i stopped all maxdbprocess again and deleted the complete instance and recreated with dbm. i can again create my usergroups and tables and import some data, but in the moment the access-table contains a german umlaut access brings the error "[SAP AG][SQLOD32.DLL][SAP DB]General error:-8046 Pos(632) Conversation from UNICODE impossible AC20. (#-8086) but i dont find the information on the server where to modify the correct parameter. cause the DEFAULT_CODE was ASCII before, and even changing this to UNICODE and restarting the instance, doesn't solve the problem. any ideas? thomas -- # Thomas Stegbauer # https://keyserver1.pgp.com/vkd/DownloadKey.event?keyid=0x9A3F1866FC68E91D # Key fingerprint = 5A2D FEDC 8A50 F1BB 25FB 967B 9A3F 1866 FC68 E91D -- MaxDB Discussion Mailing List For list archives: http://lists.mysql.com/maxdb To unsubscribe: http://lists.mysql.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
