maxdb 7.5 cpc error -845 on tables/structs with more than 6 columns

my source contains
"
  EXEC SQL BEGIN DECLARE SECTION;
   struct
   {
      int    i1;
      int    i2;
      int    i3;
      int    i4;
      int    i5;
      int    i6;
      int    i7;
   } testdata2;
 EXEC SQL END DECLARE SECTION;

 EXEC SQL insert into cpctest
                values (1,2,3,4,5,6,7);

 EXEC SQL INSERT INTO cpctest  VALUES ( :testdata2 ) ;
"

The precompiler quits with  
   PRECOM-ERROR NO :    -845   Invalid SQL statement
on the line EXEC SQL INSERT INTO cpctest  VALUES ( :testdata2 ) ;


When the table /struct has only 6 columns everthing is fine?
