Hello,
I am trying to run a first complete backup of the data on a maxdb
instance. I am however getting an error message whenever I try. These
are the commands I run:
/opt/sdb/programs/bin/dbmcli on telalink>medium_put maxdbdata
/StarNet/maxdbdata FILE DATA
OK
---
/opt/sdb/programs/bin/dbmcli on telalink>util_connect
OK

/opt/sdb/programs/bin/dbmcli on telalink>backup_start maxdbdata
ERR
-24988,ERR_SQL: Sql error
-903,Host file I/O error,No more devices
17,Servertask Info: because Error in backup task occured
10,Job 1 (Backup / Restore Medium Task) [executing] WaitingT114 Result=3700
6,Error in backup task occured, Errorcode 3700 "hostfile_error"

My knldiag.err shows the following error:

It looks like it is trying to write to a tape drive?
I have verified that the StarNet folder exists. I've also tried other
folders include relative paths. I am running MaxDB version 7.6.00.12 on
OpenSuse 10.1. File system is reiserfs, kernel version is
2.6.16.13-4-default.
