Is it OK to mount a partition with the "noatime" attribute and use it

the database does not evaluate the access time of a data or log file,
so it's no problem to mount a filesystem with 'noatime'.
But the effekt of 'noatime' is irrelevant for log volumes, as we normaly
don't read on this volumes - you can't disable the 'wtime' on linux filesystems.
