Hello Andreas,

You can cancel the running command by pressing the 'ESC' key. Even if SQL
Studio does not refresh it checks for the 'ESC' key.
As SQL Studio is written in Visual Basic there are not too much possibilities
for multi threaded GUI handling which would be necessary for resolving your
problem.

Regards
   Wolfgang

Betreff: SQL Studio blocked while waiting for result

When waiting for the result of a command or query in SQL Studio
7.6.00.27 on Windows 2000,
the app does not process the windows event loop correctly.

It thus cannot be minimized or moved and does not redraw it's window.
It would be nice if this was improved, maybe even with a button to
cancel the running query/command.

Greetings
Andreas
