Dear MaxDB Community,

As both SAP and MySQL agreed on terminating their cooperation regarding MaxDB,
SAP will strongly continue to offer MaxDB from within its community network.
Please see further information below. Customers, who have contracts with MySQL
will be informed by MySQL through different media.

Please use these new opportunities for your daily database work.

For use with non-SAP applications SAP provides MaxDB downloads for Linux and
Windows in the SAP Community Network. (SAP Developer Network, SDN, select
'Technologies' and scroll to 'MaxDB.....' ):
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/downloads (This link is subject to change around
TechEd Munich, we'll keep you informed).

These downloads are tied to a community license that allows a free of charge
usage.
Patches will be provided as they appear.

The mailing list work will continue in the MaxDB Forum. In this forum, users
help each other and SAP developers monitor and moderate on a voluntary basis:

A wiki on MaxDB provides a lot of MaxDB product knowledge and further
information:
