You are right Roberto, a virtual machine scenario is not suitable for production,
I'll try to install Mayan on the server again after the next release, maybe "rest_framework" new version will be updated as talked in ( updating the non-Django requirement djangorestframework->rest_framework ) and then I would try to update de "distribute" package as you recomend in the (Installing mayan on a server , the non-Django requirement modules instalation) thread if it happens to ocurr again. However your virtual image has been very usefull for us to start learning and preparing for next projects. Maybe i'll try to configure django for a reverse proxy and report it's results since it may be usefull for people who has several servers with serveral apps behind a reversed proxy server. L. --
