Concerning mergins images files :
Currently, I'm scanning all my bank statements. The scanner generates jpeg 
files. So I'm using a little software to generate pdf files from each page 
of the statement (usually 3/4 pages for each statement).
It could be practical to upload directly the jpeg to mayan and then merge 
each page to a single document (virtually or by generating a pdf files).
