Hi, I'm new to your community and very excited about possibilities using Mayan. I hope this isn't a sensitive issue, but after listening to the FLOSS Weekly interview (biking home from work yesterday), I am curious how the GPLv3 will be applied to plugin-ins (and didn't find anything searching the group).
Can a plug-in be developed without inheriting the Mayan license (i.e. GPLv3)? Has anyone made an enterprise application that communicates with Mayan EDMS without it inheriting (at least partially) the GPLv3? I fully respect the decision to use the GPLv3, but to implement Mayan in my company I will need to explain how the Mayan license would apply to interfaces to our legacy systems (as well as new systems). Is it possible to design a system where extension of the Mayan license would be limited? Dale -- --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Mayan EDMS" group.
