Thanks Eric. Also I'm seeing a "ReadTimeoutError: HTTPSConnectionPool(host=' pypi.python.org', port=443): Read timed out." so the installation did not finished due to a connectivity problem. Give the "source venv/bin/activate" and "pip install mayan-edms" commands another go and check the log for similar HTTP errors.
