Roberto, Thanks for the documentation update. I think it still needs some work, as I am still not understanding how to make a smart link. The explanation is becoming a little clearer, but the documentation needs a lot more detail to help someone else build their own smart links.
Do you mean - "Use smart links if you need to reference a *document type* from another *document type* and they are not from the same index. " This is very different than "...reference a *document* from another *document*." I would like to use one *document type*, (say *photo* - a collection of photos), and have two *indices* describing that photo. Say the *subject* of the photo and the *year* the photo was taken. I would then want to link all the photos taken in 1970 with the same subject. I assume from the above statement, that this is not a smart link, and it is probably not possible to achieve with Mayan. Is that correct? Since indices are related to metadata, I think the real question is how do I relate two metadata fields on one document type? document type = photos metatdata 1 = decade the photo was taken metadata 2 = subject of the photo How do I get a search result that says here are all the photos taken in the 1840s that show a gun fight? Is that possible with Mayan?
