Thanks for this update! I just wanted to try it out. Installation (via pip) 
went without problems but the subsequent performupgrade failed:

#  mayan-edms.py performupgrade

I had mayan-cabinets installed via pip prior to the update. Uninstalling 
mayan-cabinets via pip didn't affect the error message.
