Multi-functional printers and copiers can be used in a few ways depending
on the features of the device. If the device supports writing to network
drivers, you can use watch folders (automatic uploads) or a staging folder
(interactive uploads). If you device support sending scanned documents via
email, you can use the POP3 or IMAP sources (both are automated). Since
your Mayan install is in the cloud you can use the POP3 or IMAP
functionality of setup a VPN to mount a directory from the cloud install in
your LAN and have the device put the scanned files there and use it as a
watch folder or a staging folder.
