The wizard refactor is scheduled for version 3.0 because it will be backwards incompatible. Use the Tag step as an example: https://gitlab.com/mayan-edms/mayan-edms/blob/master/mayan/apps/sources/wizards.py#L41 You need to modify the DocumentCreateWizard wizard class to add the step to it. The refactor aims to extract the steps from the wizard as a separate WizardStep class. The aim is to allow wizard steps to be added (or even removed) in the same way links, permissions, and dashboard widgets can be added by any app.
