Well, it really depends on how big your datasets are. Large datasets are hard to visualize and if the data is parallel this is really quite hard. For such cases I think ParaView (www.paraview.org) is a good option. On the other hand if your data isn't all that large, mayavi should do just as well. In either case you will likely have to resolve the data file format conversion issue. > 4.Now our question is how to transfer output of CFD, to your Mayavi or VTK. What kind of output files do you have currently? If the file format is supported already by VTK this should be easy to do. There is some information on how to generate data for mayavi here: http://code.enthought.com/projects/mayavi/docs/development/html/mayavi/data.html > 5.We shall appreciate your guidelines on the above if solution is within > our budget are time frame. OK, the solutions above are free but I have no idea about how long it will take for you to get the job done. Personally, I am swamped with other work at the moment. I will ask if a couple of my students could possibly help with this. I've CC'd them. > 6.Need less to say we are interested in meeting you personally for > availing your guidelines and build a ling term relations with your good > self. Sounds good although a personal meeting is not necessary to solve this particular problem. If you'd still like to meet and are visiting Mumbai please drop me an email off-list so we can coordinate.
