It has been fixed in Mayavi 3.3.2 (not 3.3.3), which is the
latest Mayavi release.
As the Mayavi source tarball is too large to be uploaded
to PyPI, it hosted on an Enthought server, but there is
a download link on PyPI, which points to it.

This is a bug with wrapping VTK-5.6 that has been fixed in the latest

You have two options, one is to get a more recent version of Mayavi or
to downgrade to VTK-5.4. You could get the SVN trunk version of Mayavi
but that would require a lot more work than using pip.
