The mailing list archives and wiki are useful for finding snippets and
previous queries (http://maypole.perl.org/)

The http://maypole.perl.org/?Tutorials on the maypole wiki should be
quite helpful, particularly the last link which is a copy of Simon
Cozens PDF document introducing maypole.

To really understand the finer points you need to read the
documentation for Class::DBI (and the related plugins and extensions
available, such as FromCGI and CGI::Untaint) and the Template Toolkit.
