Can you email me on or offlist with the details of what problems you
had installing Maypole ?

Could be any of Tests failing in CPAN, dependancies failing to
install, permissions problems, mod_perl ?

Once I know, I can put the details in rt.cpan.org and try and get them
tested and fixed or least provide workarounds if it's down to CPAN
modules beyond my control.

There are some very useful links from the wiki page at
http://www.perlfoundation.org/perl5/index.cgi?web_frameworks - in
particular are a links to a couple of bakeoffs and comparisons that
show a fair ammount of detail.

I believe there is a social networking example by simon cozens either
in the bundled documentation or his tutorial and there is also the
open source Memories Application although that is a bit hairy and
scary.

Another handy thing to look at would be the tutorial wrote for a
workshop at yapc once :

Hope that helps,
