Hi Christian.
I need some help... One of our most important project is based on
MoviePictureMBS function. The needs are to extract one frame every second (or
every half second, depending on user settings) from a quicktime movie or a
video streaming.
Now, our application works very well when it connects to a stream movie
(acceptable cpu usage too), but we have many problems when it have to extract
images from a local playing movie.
I explain: when MoviePictureMBS(position) works (with a local playing movie) it
takes about 1,5 second (640x480 movie). It's bad for us. I think it because
(how you wrote in the documentation) "This function can be very slow because it
may be necessary to render this picture from the last 20 pictures.". I think
that works fine with the streaming movie because there is only one frame in the
real time to process, but I'm not sure of it.
Now the question: is it possible to have a variant of MoviePictureMBS that
extract even only the actual frame? Or another work around? Keep in mind that
our application may work with one or more movie running simultaneously. (I
know, there will be a limit by cpu processes, but now it's not sufficient for
one only movie...)

Thanks a lot in advance for your kelp.
