It seems MidiPlaybackMBS only supports playing back audio from this audiounit
directly into the sound output stream.
I need something like MidiPlaybackMBS ( the DLSMusicDevice AU that you appear
to be using ) but i need to be able to get at the audio output stream so i can
deal with it within myprojects own audio graph. My RB project currently acts
as a uses VST plugin host, but I would like to be able to add a free General
MIDI player into the mix as well.
basically, like VST, i need to be able to send a given number if MIDI messages
to the device for each render cycle, and get the device to write a block of
rendered audioback into my audio stream ( by passing a memoryblock or pointer
to the device.
