Could be a bug in Growl framework. CFDataCreateCopy function crashes. This happens normally if you call it with nil or an non CFData object reference. The only CFData I see is the iconData field. Maybe you put something there for the icon data? Also be warned that Cocoa GUI stuff does not work on other threads than main thread.
