If FM's memory increases, it's probably a leak on their side.
As FM is also written in Cocoa, you may make a delay somewhere for maybe 2 
seconds after 1000 records, so the auto release can do it's work in FM, too?

We have a MBS Filemaker Plugin to do SQL stuff there. So you could run a script 
in Fileamker to write data directly in a SQLite database (=REALSQLDatabase)
