I'm generally very happy with the PortAudioMBS inclusion, and this is over many
years.

However, at times my clients sometimes have some severe issues, like a driver
just not working. Especially in Windows. These are super hard to diagnose,
obviously because I don't hae the MBS source code and also if I included
Christian in the discussion it would get too complicated.

So, I checked in general with the PortAudio list and got this partial response:

"By default, PortAudio/WASAPI uses exclusive mode, which is exactly the
opposite of what you want if you want to be able to watch You Tube while mixing
your next album. There is a flag to control this (enable shared mode or
something). I have no idea whether your "Xojo plugin" (whatever that is)
supports it. Probably it was a bad idea to make exclusive mode the
PortAudio/WASAPI default, but I assume that decision was made back when people
thought
WASAPI was going to replace ASIO."

So, does your PortAudio implementation control this, and if not, can you put it
in?
