Andy~ Allright, that got it! Well actually I messed around with configs for a while to no avail-- I think because I've now got some weird half-installed versions of MBUnit and TD after all my messing around. So I took the extreme solution and just uninstalled the .NET v2.0 framework, which seems to have done the trick.
