Hi Ali, I don't think that this is a good idea since there are many people around who still have glib 1.2. The better idea is maybe to include glib as part of mc distribution, as it was done with slang. This way it will be very easy to build mc on machines with glib 1.2 or 2.0 or without glib at all.
