Ok, I'm sorry, I probably didn't understand you correctly. I was thinking that you have several small archives that mc consistently fails to extract, but apparently what you meant is that these files that you've sent me are the ones that mc fails to extract from the big archive that you have. I don't see a way to diagnose the issue without having an example archive that mc consistently fails to extract. If you don't have such an archive I don't see where we can go from here. I guess the easiest would be to try strace / ltrace and see what is happening when it hangs up, otherwise if you are familiar with debugging you could probably attach to a process as it gets stuck and see what's going on there. -- Sincerely yours, Yury V.
