   For the mc problem...I ended up dl'ing the latest mc source
compiling and installing it. The Debian Sid version is REALLY old and
I had been using my own compiled version.

The uceprotect problem I handed over to my ISP, who didn't seem
particularly concerned or interested.
Of course Videotron.ca is that way about most things. If I didn't hate
Bell Canada so much I'd switch to them :)
