Hi Chris, Thanks for you reply. Actually I do have some experience with other editors. I've been using Linux since the beginning of 2002. I used it almost full-time for many many years. But for one reason or another stopped using Linux and I forgot how to do things. But recently I've come back from that long break and also started using mc for the first time. Also, those years of past use were all based in KDE distros. This is the first time I've used Gnome. I'm very glad I've made the change over to Gnome. It's head and shoulders easier to use than KDE in my opinion.
I just enjoy learning more about how to do things in Gnome/Linux/mc (lower case as you rightly point out). Please continue to help me. I really do need to get way way better at using mc. If you could give me tips on use I would be grateful. How do you have it set up? I'll try out your configuration and see how it suits me. That way I'll learn more. Cheers, Bryce.
