Presenters needed ASAP to teach health and science in elementary schools.

The Hall of Health, a hands-on children's museum in Berkeley has recently
received a large grant from the NIH to create an outreach program in the
Oakland Public Schools focusing on diseases such as obesity, asthma and
diabetes. We are currently recruiting UCB students to teach one lesson a
week for five weeks in March, and then again in late April and early May.

Available Presentation Time Slots:

March 1st- April 1st

Wednesdays 10:45 @ Fruitvale Elementary
Total estimated time: 10:20-12:20

Wednesday 12:35 @ Fruitvale
Total estimated time: 12:00-2:00

Thursdays 10:45 @ Fruitvale
Total estimated time: 10:20-12:20

Thursdays 1:30 @ Hoover Elementary
Total estimated time: 1:00 - 3:00

More presentations times will be available in April, May and next fall.

Requirements:

1. UCB student studying education, biology, or a health related field.

2. Experience with elementary school kids.

3. Experience teaching and public speaking.

4. Available 3-4 hours a week for five weeks.

5. Reliable transportation to Oakland elementary schools.
(Automobile owners highly desirable).

6. Responsible and Dependable.

Your Pay: for non-work study students - minimum wage/hr.; work-study
students - $12/hr
