The following message is official and has been approved by the appropriate authorities to be posted to this list. Dear Undeclared MCB majors,
If you have 85 units, including in progress units but excluding high school enrichment units (AP and college level taken before graduation from high school) and you haven't yet declared the MCB major, come to the UAO to declare...NOW! Here are the reasons why: 1) You won't be allowed to use Telebears for spring 2006 until you've declared a major. 2) There are no lines in the UAO these days - take advantage of the lull. 3) In 3 weeks, there will be lines, as declared students will be coming to get their advisor codes. So, what do you need to do in order to declare? a) Bring in a printout of an email from mcb-infoline to prove that you've already subscribed to this list. b) Bring in a transcript (UCB and transfer institution, if applicable - unofficial are fine) c) Come into the UAO to pick up a Curriculum Planning Form for the emphasis you're planning on declaring and a Petition to Declare the Major form. Fill these two out. d) See an advisor in the UAO during open hours M-F 9-12, 1:30-4, in 2083 VLSB. We'll direct you from there. Questions? Just send an email or come in. ~Anne -- ^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^ Anne Aaboe phone: (510) 643-7473 Undergraduate Advising Manager fax: (510) 643-2208 Molecular & Cell Biology email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2083 Valley Life Sciences, #3200 web: mcb.berkeley.edu/undergrad Berkeley, CA 94720 ---------------------------------------------------------------- The above message does not necessarily represent the views or opinions of MCBcDNA, mcbUSA, the MCB Department, or UC Berkeley.
