BECOME A 2005-2006 CAREER CENTER PEER ADVISOR Job Description: Peer Advisors interact one-on-one with users of the Career Center and provide information on use of resources (including web resources) for career planning, job/internship search, and applying to graduate school. They conduct workshops & orientations for students on campus (usually in the evenings) and provide outreach & liaison to student groups. And other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must be available for 1- hour weekly meetings either M, T, W, and Th between 4:30-7:30pm during academic year. Must enjoy working with the public. Possess strong oral and written communications skills, public speaking ability, excellent organizational skills, and some experience/knowledge of campus student groups/organizations. Preference given to students who will be sophomores or juniors, and have completed at least one semester at Berkeley. Must be able to work 4-5 hrs/week between the hours of 11am-5pm, Mon-Fri, and available most evenings Monday-Thursday.
