We are currently recruiting nutrition and
health peer educators for the Fall 06 semester
We are an organization on the UC Berkeley campus dedicated to
improving the health of students, faculty, and staff by providing
nutrition outreach and education. We are currently recruiting
students to be nutrition and health peer educators for the Fall
semester. The Nutrition Peer Education Program is a two unit course
through which students will be trained on how to provide outreach and
education to the UC-Berkeley campus. During the first half of the
course, guest speakers, documentaries, and lectures will educate
students on current nutrition problems in our society and on our
campus. During the second half of the course, students will conduct
intervention and outreach for the campus.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for public health majors, nutrition majors, pre-med
majors, or students interested in a career in health who have a 3.4
GPA or above. In addition, you must be able to commit to one hour of
classroom instruction and two hours of outreach per week. The last
requirement is that you have taken N.S. 10 (Introduction to
Nutritional Sciences) either at CAL or a similar course at another
university. If you meet these requirements, please e-mail us at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] to schedule an interview.
