Description: Fly Food Preparation ( on Mondays ) and Fly Food Plugging ( on Tuesdays ), General lab work, autoclaving, wash and process glassware, make culture medium and stock solutions, and other small / misc.duties. Possible duties related to fly stock maintenance. Lab position available in MCB / ESPM Insect Biology fruit fly laboratory. 6 Ò 10 hours / week ( M Ò F ); 3-4 days per week which includes Mondays and Tuesdays (depending on weekly work load ). Hours are somewhat flexible. Pay is $9.30 per hour. 12 months ( or longer ) Commitment Required ( negotiable Ò ? ). Start Date: ASAP. Must be meticulous, responsible, organized, and have excellent handwriting and labelling skills. Prefer Work Ò Study Students. Qualifications: Must be a Current registered UC Berkeley student. Prefer Biological Majors, such as MCB, IB, MEB, and etc. Prefer 2-4 year students. Prefer ÏREALÓ Laboratory Experience in the Biological Sciences and knowledge with sterile laboratory techniques.
