The following message is official and has been approved by the appropriate authorities to be posted to this list. This list is for the specific purpose of sending emails out to MCB students from the MCB Undergraduate Affairs Office. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dear L&S Student,
This message is to remind you that FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 is the deadline for undergraduates in the College of Letters and Science to add courses, drop NON-Early Drop Deadline (EDD) courses, change the grading option from P/NP to a letter grade, and make changes in variable unit courses. See the Office of the Registrar's website at http://registrar.berkeley.edu/Registration/adddrop.html for more information on College deadlines. As always, it is your responsibility to monitor your course registration closely, confirm your enrollments, and adhere to the deadlines for making adjustments to your schedule. Do not rely on your instructor, the department, or your major adviser to make changes to your class schedule. Remember to monitor your waitlist status as well. If you no longer intend to enroll in a specific class, you must use Tele-BEARS to remove yourself from the waitlist so you do not end up with an 'F' on your transcript for a class you did not attend. You can review your current enrollment by logging on to Bear Facts http://bearfacts.berkeley.edu/. Should you decide to make a change to your schedule, you must do so via Tele-BEARS http://telebears.berkeley.edu on or before the September 29th deadline. Be sure to confirm all enrollment transactions and print a copy of the confirmation for your records. The College of Letters and Science also expects students to maintain a schedule of 13 units each semester. If you are below minimum units without approval from the College, your future registration may be blocked. Visit the Office of Undergraduate Advising website, http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/collegepolicies/unit.html, for more information on minimum units. Note that students are not permitted to change their class schedules after the deadlines except in the case of serious unexpected circumstances that arise during the semester. You'll find more information about this on the Office of Undergraduate Advising website http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/faq/changesched.html. If you find yourself in personal or academic difficulty during the term, please come see a College adviser BEFORE THE LAST DAY OF INSTRUCTION. We want to help you succeed! Questions? Visit the Office of Undergraduate Advising in the College of Letters & Science, 113 Campbell Hall or give us a call at 642-1483. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The above message does not necessarily represent the views or opinions of the MCB Department, its student clubs, or UC Berkeley.
