Description: The architect will do the following: a.. Define the technologies/frameworks/integration architecture for AMG platforms b.. Client frameworks / platforms - infopoint or browser apps with FLEX or AJAX)? c.. Reporting technologies - Cognos/Business Objects? d.. Integration technologies - Biztalk, MQ, Autosys e.. Data architecture technologies f.. Set architectural and developments standards for all development activity g.. Establish a developer training and Mentoring framework h.. Play a key role in the IT Blueprint project which will develop the target application architecture i.. Includes a review of the current and future application platforms j.. Work with the infrastructure team to design the infrastructure architecture k.. Support the data team in their effort to come up with target state data architecture l.. Design the integration architecture for application integration m.. Run the architectural review board mtgs and ensure that his team reviews all major application changes during design phase of SDLC n.. Design and develop the re-usable objects for application platforms and middle-tier applications o.. Stay abreast of new technologies to see how they can be incorporated our stack p.. Manage existing middle-tier team and applications q.. Provide architectural oversight of GPS and all new apps to be purchased/built/integrated Experience Required: a.. Minimum 12 years experience including 5+ years as an applications developer/manager and 4+ years as an Application Architect in Capital Markets b.. Strong record of experiences in the Capital Markets business c.. Strong management and project management experience. d.. Knowledge of Services Oriented Architecture e.. Solid Expertise in a broad range of Web and rich client development technologies (Microsoft.Net, XML, Web Services etc.) f.. Expertise in relational database management systems (Oracle. SQL Server) and OLAP technologies g.. Solid expertise with integration technologies (WebSphere MQ, IBM DataStage, EAI Tools) h.. Extensive experience in developing architecture artifacts, design artifacts, analyzing, defining and documenting requirements for data, processes and interfaces with internal and external systems. i.. Able to perform application architecture, design and code-level reviews j.. Strong understanding of OOAD, UML models, design patterns and application development processes and practices k.. Broad understanding of infrastructure technologies (Operating Systems, security, network, High Availability, storage etc) l.. Team player m..
