VERY STRONG PM, CLARITY AND INSURANCE EXPERIENCE!!! NOTE: strong PM with strong Clarity skills so he can help other PMs in using the tool Client, a leading provider of insurance and other financial services to millions of individual and institutional customers, is seeking an IT Project manager. A Senior Project Manager who has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Project Management concepts and principles. Though the consultant will not be running with projects of his/her own they must have PM experience to advise project and program mangers on the support aspects of Clarity tool. On a daily basis they will be advising project and program managers on the use for Project, Program, and Portfolio Tool (Clarity) and MS Project and troubleshooting issues with the use of the tool. The assignment involves travel to Long Island City (Queens, NY) for the first two months for on the job training with Clarity support experts. This is a year and a half engagement. After the initial two month training period the consultant will be working the night shift (5:00 PM - 2:00 AM). Job Description: a.. Work with project managers to assist in usage of Clarity tool. b.. Gathers and analyzes information and provides recommendations to address and resolve issues. c.. Develop change documentation and release notes, and communicate to users. d.. Coordinate with Application Development support team to specify and test enhancements and regression test. e.. Must be able to communicate effectively with IT and business individuals and teams at all organizational levels. f.. Very Good communication is also important for interacting with the PM user community. g.. Should have advanced Microsoft Project skills and previous experience using Clarity. h.. Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project (advanced), and Visio software tools. i.. Perform related duties as assigned or required.
