Position will specifically involve all functions required to design, implement, and support on an ongoing basis the company's Avaya based UC/IPT solution. This will include infrastructure support but also focus on end user acclimation of feature functions and troubleshooting support. Actions required in support of the Avaya solution will include but are not limited to a.. feature function capability presentation b.. user migration assistance c.. user consulting d.. troubleshooting individual user issues e.. system administration and coordination of technical changes to the hardware and software components f.. troubleshooting and problem solving g.. system function analysis h.. testing i.. integration and site migration j.. training k.. vendor interaction This position is also responsible for establishing documentation including support processes and operating procedures. The position will provide the support framework for others within the network and telephony internal teams and will provide the primary, in-depth technical knowledge of the Avaya implementation within the company. Specific, specialized, Avaya, technical contributions for this position include a.. Support for migration from traditional TDM systems, Nortel preferred to Avaya CM b.. Design and support of Avaya Communication Manager 5.1+ c.. Design and direct support of S8730 d.. Administration of CM stations/trunks e.. Hardware and software support, including firmware upgrades on Avaya gateways including G350, G450, G650 f.. Can also perform capacity planning for upper management reviews of the system's health. g.. Support and troubleshooting for Avaya OneX Communicator 5.2 h..
