Location : Santa Ana, CA
Duration : 9+ Months
Rate : $50/hr Corp to Corp (NO FLEX)
ROLE: Data Modeler
This position will work closely with functional and technical teams to
develop the logical and physical data models for this web-based application.
An ideal candidate will have relevant data modeling experience and ability to
work closely with multiple teams to solve design challenges.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a.. Develop logical data model based on System requirements and System use
cases
b.. work with the technical analysts/object modelers to define the
technical approaches for solving business problems
c.. work with Development team to create a physical data model based on the
logical data model
d.. Develop and document data model elements in accordance with established
database design guidelines
REQUIRED SKILLS:
a.. Experience with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle
b.. the candidate should have a flexible attitude, ability to work closely
with multiple internal cross-functional teams and clients
c.. ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and very good
analytical skills
d.. the candidate should be a team player, excellent written and verbal
communication skills, willing to accept challenges
e.. Expertise designing and data modeling transactional Web-based OLTP
applications
f.. Expertise in database design with Oracle 10g
g.. Experience with PL/SQL
h.. Experience with database Performance Tuning (cost, index Tuning)
i.. Solid Experience analyzing functional requirements and data flows and
translating them to data models
j.. Solid Experience working with functional/non-technical users and
analysts
k.. Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities
l.. Experience with actively participating in team working sessions and JAD
sessions
m.. Experience working with object modelers and other design/Development
resources to solve problems
n.. Experience with object-oriented, J2EE Development.
o.. Familiarity with UML, use case methodologies, and the Rational suite
a.. BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of over all IT
experience or equivalent work experience
b.. Detailed data modeling skills
c.. in-depth knowledge of data architecture and modeling principles,
practices, and tools (Erwin Allfusion modeling suite)
d.. Understanding of relational, object-oriented, and business rule
paradigms
e.. working Experience with Rational Rose and Unified modeling Language
(UML)
f.. working Experience with Java Objects and principles as it relates to
database Performance a plus
