Title: Applications/Systems Administrator (Enterprise Vault Administration
Services)

Location: West Palm Beach, FL

Duration: 1 + year

Start: 4 weeks





Background

Our client in West Palm Beach FL has placed the Symantec Enterprise Vault in
the District's messaging infrastructure. This is being utilized for
regulatory and e-discovery compliance. The use of Enterprise Vault allows
retaining a copy of all email messages sent and received, ensuring they are
kept for an appropriate period of time. The current Enterprise Vault
implementation utilizes a module for electronic discovery called the
Discovery Accelerator, designed to help with the new amendments to the
Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Our client utilizes Discovery Accelerator
extensively to help with pre-disclosure meetings, legal holds, and internal
investigations.



Objectives



The objectives for this need will be maintaining security, patching,
monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving problems with the Enterprise Vault
System and the administration of the Discovery Accelerator tool. The
contractor must have a solid understanding of and be able to perform the
following tasks:

·         Perform complex Boolean algebra searches

·         Solid understanding of SQL Server as it relates to Enterprise
Vault

·         Extensive messaging experience in clustered environments

·         Windows operating system support for messaging and archiving
servers,

·         System integration support for Messaging configuration management

·         Extensive experience architecting and implementing archival and
compliance infrastructure for messaging systems.

*Preferred Certifications: *



To perform this role it is preferred that the contractor has the following
certifications:



·         Administration of Symantec Enterprise Vault 2007 & 8 for Exchange



·         Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 & 2010



·         Litigation & Practice Support for E-Discovery. Such as ALSP
(Association of Litigation Support Professional) Certification



*Scope of Work*

·         Develop and provide training in the use of the Discovery
Accelerator tool to IT staff and customers.

·         Develop and maintain documentation for the use and administration
of the Symantec Enterprise Vault and the Discovery Accelerator tool

·         Monthly checks of the Domain configuration for Enterprise Vault.

·         Monthly checks of the Workstation configuration for Enterprise
Vault.

·         Monthly checks of the Network Configuration for Enterprise Vault.

·         Monthly checks of the Storage Configuration for Enterprise Vault.

·         Assist the Legal and Records management group with the EDiscovery
processing as it relates to Legal Discovery requests and usage of Discovery
Accelerator

·         Act as a liaison with the various infrastructure support groups.

·         Monthly checks of the Enterprise Vault components including
Storage, Archiving, Journaling, Retention, Logs and Performance.

·         Provide monthly status reports

·         Modification of Solution Design Document as it relates to changes
in the Enterprise Vault environment.

·         Provide customer support in setting up Public Records Requests
user documentation, and user orientation.

·         Interface with Human Resources, Public Records Office, Legal and
IT customers to understand and clarify all records and internal
investigations request utilizing the Discovery tool.

·         Perform any Enterprise Vault client and server installations,
configurations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance of ALL Enterprise Vault
systems.  Install software applications along with vendor recommended
patches and service packs.

·         Provide assistance to customers with work products produced.
