Business Analyst:
We seek a self-directed individual who has a positive and professional
attitude and can demonstrate proven management skills with a dedication to
excellence, to join our team. This position will work with various levels of
management to identify and fulfill business needs and solutions as they relate
to the primary web application/portal for our Exclusive Agency Distribution
Channel.
The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills. Strong
project management, analytical and problem solving skills are required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Overview:
The Business Analyst / Project Manager will participate in a functional
capacity in all phases of the Project Life Cycle, including post-production
support and ongoing maintenance. This position is for a high energy, well
rounded fast learning individual. It is also customer facing, hence soft skills
such as communication, organization, and presentation are extremely important.
The BA / PM participates in business process reengineering activities and
serves as functional liaison to the user community.
Specific Job Duties:
a.. Responsible for release management of routine maintenance releases
including refining requirements, testing, and deployment.
b.. Synthesizing core information needs from business.
c.. Analyzes and documents relevant business processes.
d.. Conducts interviews with internal customers to define functional
requirements.
e.. Document and manage business and functional requirements. Author
detailed project requirements, technical briefs, and functional specifications.
f.. Identify potential business opportunities and engage business
development team.
g.. Participates during detailed design and/or configuration.
h.. Apply application expertise and business knowledge to the development
of technical solutions.
i.. Evaluate issues and communicate resolutions and determine root cause.
j.. Review and define test strategies/ test conditions and perform testing
as needed.
k.. Lead and Participate in user acceptance testing as needed.
l.. Anticipate and proactively address the business needs and strategies.
m.. Coordinate development and delivery activities amongst various project
participants.
