Title: Java Developer Location: NJC NJ Duration: 6-12 months Interview process: Phone and Face to Face Works independently, delivers state-of-the-art applications design, development and support that are full system in scope. Keeps abreast of new and emerging business systems design and development techniques and makes appropriate recommendations for their use. Aware of business impacts to the solutions delivered. The candidate should be able to provide advice, guidance, training and support to business and information technology users, business partners, vendors and management. They can expect to work in diverse areas such as interactive web design, pagination, user applications, etc. Experience/Skills: 5+ years solutions based data processing experience with a concentration in software development. Skilled in programming and the development/testing of distributed client -server and web applications. Technical Skills: • Experience in JavaScript, Java/J2EE, Java 5, JSP, Struts, JSTL and Tags. • Experience in Tomcat (3+), Apache 2 • Expertise with data exchange XML, DOM, XSLT and JSON. • Experience building client side scripting with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks(JQuery, DOJO, Prototype JS). • Experience in XHTML, DHTML, JavaScript, Web 2.0 and CSS. Experience in Cross Browser GUI Implementation. • Strong experience with JDBC and designing efficient SQL. OOP theory and practices • Strong test driven development processes and experience with agile development and iterative cycles • Test driven development using JUnit and HttpUnit. • Experience building efficient build and deployment systems using automated tools, like Maven 2 and Ant. • Version control using CVS and Subversion. • Knowledge of RESTful services. General Skills: • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral. • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with business units • Hands-on knowledge of project management processes and methodologies with an emphasis on managing systems maintenance, enhancement and development projects. • Hands on knowledge of risk and change management. • Hands on knowledge of estimating tasks • Skilled in working with group in the group • Media background would be a strong plus Education: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent work experience.
