Immediate need for 3D Graphics Software Engineer for a 12 month contract in either Redwood City, CA or Glendale, CA. Description: Join a team of highly-talented and motivated developers writing computer graphics software at a leading Hollywood animation studio. Help redefine how the world develops leading 3D graphics software. Necessary Skills a.. Minimum three or more years of production software development experience working as part of a close-knit team. b.. Strong understanding of 3D computer graphics concepts including animation, effects, and rendering (preferably for film). c.. Proficient in C++ software development and deployment on Linux. d.. Experience delivering production software and supporting its use by customers. e.. Experience developing, debugging, and improving the scalability of high-performance parallel software, including multi-machine task distribution and data synchronization with fault-tolerance. f.. Demonstrated competency and enthusiasm for software optimization. g.. Knowledge of how to write software that takes advantage of low-level CPU and GPU architectural features (caches hierarchies, SIMD, processor counters). h.. Experience implementing CPU or GPGPU-based data-parallel algorithms i.. Experience applying OpenMP, MPI, TBB, Cilk, etc. when implementing parallel solutions j..
