Portal engineer will implement, create and customize a centralized, enterprise-class internal and external portal environment, to enable improved commerce capabilities and end user experience. b.. The portal will be implemented in an infrastructure environment and integrated with Websphere Application Server using both Websphere and Liferay portals. c.. The selected individual must have strong experience, implementing Portal in an enterprise scale infrastructure environment and J2EE development experience. Responsibilities include: a.. Integration of portals into Websphere Application Server 6.1 and overall infrastructure b.. Development of tools and scripts to provision, monitor, and manage the enterprise environment c.. Deployment of the portlets and the portal applications. d.. Vendor bug research, testing of fixes, and resolution e.. Responsible for responding to infrastructure issue alerts f.. Solve complex, cross-functional issues that cross many groups g.. Participate in implementation and design reviews, and contribute to scalability and load tests of the environment. Required skills: Solid understanding and proven experience in building multi-threaded server side applications a.. 7-10 years of total IT experience b..
