The client is looking for a VB.Net developer with framework 3.0 or higher experience. They also would like experience with both SQL and Oracle databases. Local candidates preferred as are candidates with previous federal or state government experience. The rate for the position on a C2C basis is $37/hr and there is no flexibility. Senior .Net Developer Position Description S&C is currently searching for a Senior .NET Developer with at least 4 years of .Net development experience. We are seeking an individual with a strong ASP.Net/VB.Net, ASP and ADO.Net background, a solid background in object oriented methodologies, and extensive experience in Windows/IIS server environment. The .Net developer will develop, maintain and enhance a number of .Net applications for the Department. The .NET Developer must be a strong individual contributor who also collaborates well in a team environment and is able to produce high quality deliverables to meet tight project deadlines. Job Duties · Review business requirements and technical design for completeness and accuracy. · Interact with users, production support and other project team to understand the business and technical requirements. · Provide level of effort estimates and prioritize tasks to meet project requirements. · Develop, test and implement application components from technical design documentation according to agency design standards. · Provide timely application builds to meet tight development schedules. · Design, develop, and test modifications as additional requirements are identified. · Troubleshoot, debug and optimize code for performance and security. · Communicate effectively with stakeholders, technical support staff and project team. Qualifications and Experience · Experience with .NET Framework 3 and higher. · 4+ years of hands-on experience as an ASP.net/VB.Net developer using associated tools and technologies (Visual Studio, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, ADO, COM and ODBC) with Microsoft IIS on Windows server platforms. · Experience writing web applications to predefined UI and coding standards. · Experience writing data-driven web applications for MS SQL and Oracle databases. · Experience maintaining and handling performance issues for data-driven web applications. · Experience with OOP methodology. · Experience using web services to pass data between mixed environments. · Experience writing complex SQL queries for both MS SQL and Oracle. · Ability to review/proof all code to ensure error-free functionality within all targeted browsers. · Good understanding of page flow, user interface design and navigation structures. · Excellent oral and written communication skills required. · Ability to meet scheduled delivery dates as defined by the project manager. · Knowledge of XML, XSD, XSLT · Microsoft Certification Preferred · Good understanding of single sign on security systems and experience with Entrust Get Access.
