The Automation Engineer will be responsible for participating in the execution
of procedures for ensuring the quality and serviceability of new features and
releases of software utilizing advanced skills in automation testing, while
leveraging the QTP tool and VBscript development. This engineer will author and
execute test cases, using defined methodologies for automated testing. Ideal
candidate will have recent Quality Assurance Analysis and Testing experience
with a programming and/or development background.
Qualifications:
Experienced Automation Testing Engineer. 5+ years of programming or development
experience as well as strong knowledge of testing tools such as HP
QualityCenter and QuickTesPro (QTP). . Actual hands on experience developing
VBscripts, in addition to executing the test scripts in QTP. . Solid VB
scripting development experience is a must. Specifically, web objects, classes,
and capturing properties. . Ability to work with Web services and fabricate XML
payloads, compliant to disclosed schema, and produce with iterations via
Automation. . Solid experience with SQL Server and Oracle DB, and implementing
various transaction calls from QTP. . Solid Experience with .NET objects and
use in QTP. . Ability to Parameterize in QTP.
Responsibilities:
a.. Develop and execute automated functional and system integration test
cases from requirements and analyze the results.
b.. Will translate business test plans and manual test scripts into automated
test scripts.
c.. Provides solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and
complexity.
d.. Must use testing tools appropriately with minimal technical guidance and
complete tasks and assignments under normal supervision.
e.. Follows standard automation engineering/test practices, use judgment
within defined practices and procedures.
f.. Implement work-plans and schedules as assigned.
g.. Seek assistance when needed, demonstrates self-initiative.
Required skills include:
a.. 5+ years of programming or development experience as well as strong

k.. Must be able to work extended hours when needed to meet project deadline.
l.. Must be detail oriented with exceptional written and oral communication
skills.
